There are many different ways in which a person can find blogger opportunities. These opportunities can range from sponsored posts to being invited to events. Yes, many people don’t like to approach brands and would rather that brands approach them but sometimes you have to just ask! You really do never know until you ask, you have nothing to lose. Don’t be afraid and get yourself out there and earn a little bit of cash doing what you love.
First of all, there are SO many different influencer marketing platforms that have a variety of different opportunities for everyone. For example, one of the more popular platforms is called ‘The Blogger Programme’ and they help connect bloggers with brands that suit their needs. I will link a few more platforms below:
Next we have Facebook groups! Again there are many different groups that you can join. Simply send a request and you will be accepted by one of the admins within the first 24 hours. Once accepted into the group you will be able to see the many posts that offer blogger opportunities. I believe that this is one of the best ways to find opportunities as you can speak to people directly. Not only that but new opportunities are being posted all the time. I’d say I see a minimum of 5 posts a day! I’ll leave the names of a few groups:

Another great way of finding blogger opportunities is by simply looking for them via twitter/Instagram. There are a bunch of hashtags that contain many blogger opportunities. One of my personal favourites is #BloggersRequired and if you click on the ‘Latest’ tab, you will be able to find the most recent opportunities. You can also request for certain brands by using the hashtag, #PRrequest, which allows you to request certain opportunities.
Finally, if you are wanting to work with a certain brand you should definitely reach out to them personally. Pitch yourself to them. What do you have to offer? How will you benefit them? What are your ideas surrounding the potential collaboration? As I said, you never know unless you ask. Some companies may not be looking for partners but it’s becoming a lot more frequent that brands are wanting to work with influencers. I’d definitely recommend creating a media kit to send to brands as this will allow them to gain more of an insight about your blog, including giving them a few statistics!
One more thing, please don’t let your statistics put you off. Many brands actually do look for smaller bloggers because sometimes they interact much more with their audience.
Good luck on your search for opportunities, I’m sure once you get the hang of it, you’ll be working with tonnes of people!
